I think people have a general misunderstanding of what it means to listen. If we're close and you don't take the time out to listen and just resort to invalidating how I feel, I think it's fair if we aren't as close anymore. I'm not going to cut you off or burn bridges because we all have things to worry about, but sometimes, I seek someone to talk to in order to get their perspective or insight, not just constant validation or 100% acceptance of my actions. That probably doesn't make any sense, but I know what I'm trying to say. We are not 21
